Busan International Film Festival to Host Alfonso Cuarón and Feature European Women+ Filmmakers
The 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) will welcome Oscar-winning director Alfonso Cuarón for his inaugural visit to Korea. The festival will also shine a light on European female and genderqueer filmmakers with a dedicated program, "Europe! Voices of Women+ in Film," showcasing nine selected works, including several directorial debuts. Cuarón is expected to participate in the opening ceremony and engage in a dialogue about his filmmaking journey, with a special IMAX screening of his acclaimed film “Gravity.”
