Freestyle Releasing Acquires "Hello Beautiful" for Theatrical Distribution

Byron Allen's Freestyle Releasing has announced the acquisition of "Hello Beautiful," a poignant drama penned and directed by Ziad H. Hamzeh. This film adaptation, based on Christine Handy's best-selling novel "Walk Besides Me," is set to premiere in select theaters on September 25. The narrative delves into the life of Willow, a supermodel portrayed by Tricia Helfer, whose idyllic existence with her husband Khalil (Tarek Bishara) and their two children is irrevocably changed by a severe health crisis. The movie promises an emotionally charged exploration of love, resilience, and the unforeseen challenges that test the foundations of a relationship.

The story centers on Willow's struggle after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis, which plunges her previously perfect world into disarray. As she grapples with the physical and emotional toll of the disease, her self-identity undergoes a profound transformation. Her husband, Khalil, finds himself navigating the complexities of supporting his wife through a new and daunting reality that threatens their shared future. The film intricately weaves a tale of fear, vulnerability, and the arduous journey of rediscovering meaning and hope when life takes an unexpected turn. Director Ziad H. Hamzeh emphasized that "Hello Beautiful" is a love story illustrating what happens when a partnership faces unimaginable circumstances, forcing individuals to redefine their understanding of commitment and support.

Notably, Freestyle Releasing, the cinematic distribution arm of Allen Media Group, opted for a theatrical debut for "Hello Beautiful," deviating from an initial consideration for a digital or streaming release. This decision underscores the belief in the film's potential to resonate with a broader audience through the big-screen experience. Christine Handy, whose personal battle with cancer inspired the novel, expressed her desire to share a story that she wished she had heard during her own diagnosis. She aims to convey a message of endurance and optimism, highlighting that a cancer diagnosis does not signify an end but rather a new beginning filled with love, purpose, and enduring connections. The film was produced by Hamzeh and Michael Espinosa, with Handy and Timothy Danis serving as executive producers. The distribution agreement was finalized through negotiations between Freestyle Releasing, the filmmakers, and Zac Reeder of Lucky 27 Media.

"Hello Beautiful" is an exploration of the human spirit's capacity for resilience in the face of adversity. It is a narrative that speaks to the universal experience of confronting life's unpredictable challenges and finding strength in shared vulnerability. The film beautifully portrays the journey of a couple forced to confront their deepest fears and re-evaluate their perception of life, ultimately discovering that true beauty lies not in perfection, but in the unwavering support and love that endures through every trial.
