Pokemon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale Event Guide
Amy HennigTrainers worldwide are gearing up for the highly anticipated "Pokemon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale" event, set to conclude the summer's festivities. This two-day spectacle promises a thrilling experience for all participants, offering unique opportunities to enhance their Pokemon collections and engage in challenging battles.
Pokemon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale - Event Details
The grand "Pokemon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale" event will unfold over the weekend of September 5th and 6th, 2026, commencing at 10 a.m. and concluding at 6 p.m. in each player's local time zone. A significant highlight of this finale is the triumphant return of Armored Mewtwo, a formidable Legendary Pokemon that has been absent from raids since 2020, making this a rare chance for trainers to encounter and capture it.
Although this concluding event may not boast the extensive array of bonuses and features seen in the primary Go Fest event, it serves as an excellent occasion for trainers to concentrate on capturing Pokemon eligible for Mega Evolution and gathering crucial Mega Energy for Mewtwo. As is customary for such events, diverse "habitats" characterized by specific Pokemon types will cycle hourly. These habitats will introduce a variety of wild Pokemon and alter the roster of available raid bosses. Fortunately, Armored Mewtwo is slated to remain a constant presence in raids throughout both days of the event.
Event Enhancements and Habitat Rotations
Many of the event's advantages are linked to the Go Pass, which was introduced earlier in the week as part of the "Mega Ascension" event. These benefits include an expanded Link Charge storage capacity for Rank 1 pass holders, an increased likelihood of encountering shiny versions of chosen partner Pokemon and their evolutions for deluxe Rank 1, and an elevated chance of finding shiny Pokemon from four-star Mega Raids for deluxe Rank 2. Deluxe Rank 3 pass holders will also receive additional Candy, Candy XL, and XP from Mega Raids, while deluxe Rank 70 members will experience a boosted chance of encountering shiny featured Pokemon in the wild during the event hours.
In addition to the Go Pass benefits, two complimentary bonuses will be available to all trainers: unlimited remote raiding throughout the weekend and an extra CP Boost for all Mega Evolved Pokemon during the event. The Go Pass can be activated after completing a brief Timed Research task that requires trainers to choose between Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, or Mega Greninja.
