Arthur Arbesser's Fall 2026 collection represents a profound shift towards renewal and innovative use of existing resources, mirroring the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken ceramics are made beautiful again with gold. Arbesser explicitly stated that 2026 marked a period of significant personal and brand evolution, necessitating a reassembly of elements. This challenge was met by creatively repurposing archived textiles, transforming them into fresh, compelling designs.

The creative process involved an extensive audit of all available materials, driven by a commitment to eliminate waste. Fabrics that were insufficient for large-scale production were cleverly integrated into accessories, such as scarves reminiscent of festive bunting, or used as intricate finishing touches. The collection features a blend of historical motifs, bringing back baroque patterns from Fall 2022, striped cottons from Spring 2025, and vibrant checks and photographic prints from Fall 2024, alongside the brand’s characteristic geometric designs. A significant portion of the collection underwent a garment-dyeing process at a specialized facility near Milan, highlighting a focus on unique finishes. Each garment is designed for versatility through layering, unexpected material combinations, and a dynamic interplay of patterns and colors. The collection incorporates lightweight, transparent fabrics like polka dots, diamond and striped mesh, and multi-colored check tulle, juxtaposed with more textured materials such as cobra-print satin, jacquard viscose, gingham, zigzag crinkle crepe, and various animal prints.

The collection's creation took place within the brand's creative hub, where a collaborative spirit was evident. While Arbesser discussed his vision, artist Marcela Gutiérrez was simultaneously creating a large canvas painting, which is set to be digitized and transformed into a print for an upcoming collection. The ambiance, playfully described by Arbesser as akin to a 'horror movie' due to the classical music playing, underscored his quest for design elements that introduce a captivating contrast.
