RCZ Vision: A Modern Revival of Sporty Elegance
The RCZ Vision reintroduces the spirit of Peugeot's earlier sporty coupe, featuring a sleek, low-slung two-door profile. Its design adheres to the brand's 'Feline Future' philosophy, characterized by distinctive three-line patterns forming the headlights and taillights, which slice across the vehicle's facade and rear. The smooth, flowing bodywork is complemented by a unique double-bubble glass roof, adding to its dynamic and refined appearance.
Revolutionary Interior: The RCZ Vision's Digital Cockpit
Inside the RCZ Vision, the cabin is a marvel of futuristic design. The dashboard appears to float within a digital environment, thanks to transparent, frameless glass screens. A central display can be completely deactivated, offering a distraction-free driving experience. The uniquely shaped 'Hypersquare' steering wheel is designed to put all essential functions at the driver's fingertips, eliminating the need to ever remove hands from the wheel. This innovative steering system is slated for production in the upcoming e-208 model.
Advanced Electrification: Power and Efficiency of the RCZ Vision
Built on the advanced STLA One platform, which will also support future Stellantis vehicles, the RCZ Vision boasts a solid-state battery and a 1000-volt electrical architecture. This setup allows for an impressive 10-to-80 percent charge in just 10 minutes. Delivering 500 horsepower, the vehicle offers an estimated range of approximately 372 miles. It also integrates steer-by-wire technology with an adaptive steering ratio that adjusts based on speed, along with a brake-by-wire system, enhancing both control and responsiveness.
E-T16: A Homage to Rally Legends
The E-T16 concept pays tribute to the legendary 205 T16, a two-time World Rally Championship winner from 1985 and 1986. While echoing the iconic rally car's proportions, the E-T16 incorporates the same 'Feline Future' front-end styling as the RCZ, complete with distinctive yellow-tinted claw-mark headlights. The aggressive bodywork is adorned with numerous vents and intakes, accented by bold red stripes that encircle the hatch. The rear features a prominent diffuser and twin small wings on the tailgate, emphasizing its performance-oriented design.
Performance and Innovation: The E-T16's Cutting-Edge Features
The E-T16's interior, though darker and more intense with black trim and glowing red accents, also features the Hypersquare steering wheel. A central display on the steering wheel pairs with a long, curved 21-inch dashboard screen. The bucket seats are meticulously crafted from woven fabric and recycled Pelinova leather. Under the hood, a configuration of three electric motors—one front and two rear—generates a staggering 816 horsepower, propelling the car from 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and reaching 186 mph in just 16 seconds. Braking is managed by 15.0-inch discs, complemented by a tall hydraulic handbrake. Peugeot also highlights its novel 'Side Cooling' technology, which cools the battery through its side walls, boosting performance and allowing the E-T16 to complete three laps of the Nürburgring Nordschleife without power limitations due to overheating. While a direct electric rally version might not be in the cards, the E-T16's design cues are expected to influence the next-generation E-208, and its performance capabilities are certainly noteworthy
