While Mike Leigh, the 83-year-old acclaimed writer-director of *Tender Loving Care*, was unable to attend due to health reasons, his film was well-represented by its main cast. Jesse Eisenberg expressed regret over missing screenings, while Andrew Scott of *Elsinore* was determined to catch as many of the festival's queer-themed movies as possible, specifically mentioning *La Bola Negra*, *Club Kid*, and *A Long Winter*.

The directing duo "Los Javis," celebrated for their Cannes-honored film *La Bola Negra*, were among the most prominent figures at the festival, especially as their film is a key contender for Netflix this season. Netflix also hosted a late-night listening party for its documentary *The Disciple*, which delves into the unique story of the Wu-Tang Clan's *Once Upon a Time in Shaolin* album, a rare recording played for attendees.
"Wild Horse Nine" Premieres to Enthusiastic Reception
The Patron Preview, a much-anticipated event where the selected film remains a secret until screening, this year unveiled *Wild Horse Nine*. Fresh off its world premiere in Venice, the film is scheduled for additional screenings, including one at the Palm Theatre on Saturday night. This will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by *THR*, featuring director Martin McDonagh, stars John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell, supporting actors Steve Buscemi and Mariana di Girolamo, and producer Graham Broadbent.
